Dates:
The 2017 Connecticut Lyric Opera – Summer Institute will run from August 7 to August 25, 2017. The first week of the program is opera-only period, during which we will start preparing the staging and focus on vocal coaching. The official dates of the main institute program are August 11 – 25, during that time opera will work with the Institute Orchestra and work on the production elements.

The program is design for young professionals as well as college and graduate students. Special voice technique lessons will also be provided for advanced high school students.

Requirements:

The Festival will make best effort to cast all participants in the leading roles and ensemble, based on their skill and ability. Participation in all assigned ensembles will be required.

Costs:

The tuition for the 2017 Connecticut Lyric Opera – Summer Institute is $1000.

Deadline for application is May 30, 2017, Tuition is due on June 30th.
