Ms. Gabriela Ortiz received her degree in Music Theory from University of Chile. She began her studies in conducting with Maestro Eduardo Browne in year 2005. She was music director of Chamber Orchestra of El Monte and the Youth Orchestra of Carlos Oviedo Cavada School. As an assistant conductor Ms. Ortiz conducted the musical “The Tempest” and the Symphonic Band of the University of Chile. At present she is conductor of Youth Orchestra of El Bosque de Renca School.
Manuel Olivares began his musical studies at the Music School “Jorge Peña Hen” in La Serena, Chile. After finishing the music school he studied tuba at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Chile. Since 1995 Mr. Olivares has studied conducting under the guidance of several conductors. Among them are Mr. David Ayma, current conductor of Symphonic Orchestra of Temuco, Chile, Mr. Eduardo Browne, conductor of “Camerata Universidad de Los Andes” in Santiago de Chile, Mr. Sergio Feferovic, conductor of Chamber Orchestra of Lanús, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and with Mr. Maurice Peress, professor of conducting in Fortaleza, Brazil. Mr. Olivares is also a teacher of theory and harmony at the Eduardo Browne’s conducting seminars throughout Chile. He has led various groups, as director and as a guest. Among the orchestras that have been directed by Manuel Olivares, are: Chamber Orchestra of the Municipality of Lanús, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Symphony Orchestra Festival Eleazar de Carvalho, Fortaleza, Brazil, Youth Orchestra, Festival Eleazar de Carvalho, Fortaleza, Brazil, Calbuco Orchestra Music Camp, Calbuco, Chile, Mancera Orchestra Music Camp, Valdivia, Chile, Youth Orchestras of El Monte and San Pedro in Santiago de Chile, Youth and Children’s Orchestra of Santa Maria in Santa Maria, Chile, Regional Orchestra of Magallanes, Punta Arenas, Chile.
